What's with the hate?

I've been a fan of LSU sports since I can remember even though I've lived in Tennessee all my life. And more and more nowadays I've been getting grief over being a Tiger fan. I don't see much of a rivalry between the two. Can someone explain (maybe someone who knows a bit more history). Thanks and

Could it have anything with third and Chavis eating their lunch? They ran off great coaches and are now paying the price.
