Went about a week and half ago. Fed the croakers and catfish for 3 hours with our 40 cents/pc. shrimp. However, the tide wasn't moving and the water was stained.

Good luck. The recent West winds have muddied the water and fish have lockjaw lately.

I fished the Causeway briefly on Wednesday, and it was VERY slow. Caught one. Water was clean enough for them to be there, but wasn't perfect.

Went yesterday. 2 trout and a sheepshead. Bunch of catfish, in fact caught a channel cat at the train bridge. Lot of muddy water with the west winds. Go to hopedale or grand isle. Good trout being caught in both places.

Good luck there too. My bro-in-law and I took my Dad on a guided trip out of Shell Beach on Friday. It was absolutely BRUTAL. The west wind was killer. We fished from 5AM to 1PM and only mustered 5 keeper trout. The guide rode all over the area looking for clean water and it was non-existent. The CB radio was going crazy all morning with all of the guides touching base with each other trying to locate clean water and fish for their customers. Friday was turrible in that area. Hopefully it has cleaned up some since then.

Dad went with the same guide twice the week before on paid trips and they limited out by 10AM both mornings. It was polar opposite this weekend, however. Nevertheless, hope you enjoy your time on the water.

Knowing what I know today about the past few days conditions, I would post up around the L&N Bridge with live shrimp and an ice chest full of beer looking for some keeper reds and puppy drums.

Yea, that wind even messed up my little freshwater spot near 90.

Only 3 hits and 1 decent sized bluegill.

Usually every cast gets a hit at that spot.
