I like jacquizz on the bench in a ppr just because I don't trust Jackson to stay healthy. Or maybe he was sandbagging cause the rams sucked

I've been hesitant on Jackson every season, yet he always puts up solid numbers. He always seems like he's one tackle away from being carted off, but it never quite happens. I may grab him in round 2 if he's still there.

Chris Ivory is being limited to individual drills while nursing a hamstring tweak at Jets camp.
We try not to post injury items unless they're significant, but Ivory's checkered history of durability woes makes this notable. It does sound like Ivory should be back soon. The Jets are awfully thin at tailback with Ivory sitting out team drills

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin says Lamar Miller's improvement in pass protection began late last year.
Pass pro is critical for Miller because nailing down blitz protections would allow him to function as a three-down running back, greatly enhancing his fantasy value. "He can pass protect," Philbin said. "It took him a little while to get the responsibilities down, the blitz adjustments down. At the end of the year, he was very sound in his pass protection. He has good hands, can catch the football." Miller only touched the football seven times on third downs as a rookie, but his passing-game role projects to grow dramatically in '13.

wasn't high on him, but considering he's going between Murray,McFadden,Wilson, & Bell....Season Killing Injury Risks and probable platoons.....I'll probably go WR, but if not I'd choose MIller

Texans coach Gary Kubiak is optimistic Arian Foster (calf) will return from the active/PUP list by "midweek."
"I'm hoping midweek something like that that he is back on the field," Kubiak said. Foster opened camp on the injured list due to a two-month calf strain. His return would be good news, but Foster will be susceptible to aggravation. Fantasy owners should monitor last year's NFL carries leader for all of camp.

10 weeks for a strain?...people heal from ACL tears faster....avoid

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Bob McGinn projects rookie Johnathan Franklin to play 40 percent of the Packers' 2013 offensive snaps.
Eddie Lacy should hover around 50 percent, assuming he stays healthy.

I think S-Jax will make or break many fantasy teams this season. He's clearly in the best situation team-wise in his respectable career, but he's also at the dreaded 30-year threshold and, thus, just as susceptible to a career-high season as he is to a Shaun Alexander-type dropoff.

Saying he was "ashamed and disgusted" with himself, Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper apologized repeatedly for making a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert that was caught on video and led to him getting fined.

The video of Cooper using the N-word surfaced Wednesday on the Internet. Cooper issued a statement of apology then met with reporters outside the team's practice facility.

Coverage of the NFL on CBSSports.com
Cooper said he was drinking when he directed the slur at an African-American security guard at the concert in June.

could be a steal, but I think Wilson is way too risky to rely on.

Mike Wallace has missed the last few days of training camp with a groin injury.
Wallace sat out Monday night's scrimmage, which came as a surprise to local beat writers, and he hasn't been on the field since. The high-priced receiver hopes to play in Sunday's Hall of Fame game, but the Dolphins will likely be cautious with him. The chemistry between Wallace and Ryan Tannehill has been a bit of a concern early in camp, so it'd be nice to see Wallace back on the field soon.

Shane Vereen has taken training camp reps both at slot receiver and outside receiver, in addition to operating as the Patriots' passing-back replacement for Danny Woodhead.
The Boston Herald considers Vereen the Patriots' one player behind Danny Amendola with the "best potential" to be a "breakout performer." Vereen "appears to be one of (Tom) Brady's safety valves" in practice, and has frequently been sent in motion, which the Herald notes Aaron Hernandez used to do. "Vereen could very well be one of the guys (playcaller Josh McDaniels) employs to help make up for losing Hernandez," writes beat reporter Karen Guregian. Vereen's baseline role is Woodhead's old duties, which offered flex value in fantasy leagues. Vereen's ceiling is to be utilized a la Darren Sproles, as a mismatch creator in the passing game and explosive change-of-pace ball carrier.
