Finally just finished this series on HBOGO and it has to be one of the top comedy series out there. Arrested Development is my favorite comedy series, but this isn't far behind. So many great hard-to-watch yet hilarious moments on this show. The writing was really amazing.

First off, Larry David , and Jeff Garlin as his manager has to be one of my favorite tv characters of all time. What is the board's opinion?

My opinion is that it is the greatest comedy on television. I like AD, but I think that Curb is smarter. Think about all the situations that Larry gets himself into. Can you ever say that he is truly wrong?

I wish this would be on netflix or amazon prime. I'm a big AD fan and would like to try it. I assume I should start at season 1?

Might as well, but the story isn't all that important. Episodes stand alone pretty well. It's all about the situations that Larry gets himself into.

they are a lot different shows. Curb is an improve type show comparable a lot more to Seinfeld for obvious reasons

and they are all on HBOgo

I love the show. I dont know if I could watch it straight thru, though. Larry can be a little much at times. It'd be like watching Seinfeld with just George.

Its a great show though.

Yeah the way I describe it to people is that the series as a whole doesn't really build on itself like other shows or AD for example, but each episode just wraps itself up so perfectly.

Larry is definitely kind of an a-hole, but he is right about a lot things. In the show he thinks the exact same way as the rest of us in the situations that he gets himself into, but more than 90% of us never act on what we're thinking or wanting to say. He does, and that's what makes the show so great.

I heard him say that he doesnt know whats really going on in the scene just what kinda needs to happen and then he just responds with the first thing that pops into his head. like when someone says you mind if i just in front of you? in your head you say no frick you, what makes you time more valuable than mine. but say sure no problem instead, Larry says frick you
