Everybody was confused and grumbling just a couple months ago over why we offered and let commit this guy who only has bottom feeder offers.

I watch these highlights and then wonder "how in the hell was he only a 3 star". Then you look at Miles' track record and Chark and then you say "Miles is ahead of the game". Chark may not look it on tape, but Miles has seen him in person and with that third eye he hides under that hat, he knows the potential. I think Chark could be a great DB, Mo Claiborne 2.0.

It's understandable why Kevin Spears was a 3star. He didn't show much quickness or break away speed and would also go down very easily. But I understand what point your making. IMO Chark has a much higher ceiling than Spears does just because of his overall athleticism.

People like to brag about how deep Louisiana is this year but then get angry when Les and staff find another player worthy of an offer.
With all the talent in state there are going to be more guys pop up out of no where that are LSU quality. Hopefully LSU finds room for them

To be honest, you can say the same thing about 2012 Jalen Mills (2*)...not too many 2*'s come into the SEC and starts their true freshman year

So, this film tells us WHAT about Chark?

Spears actually has pretty good speed but the thing I like on this video the most is how good he is catching the ball in traffic. About 60% of the video is him catching between 2 or 3 defenders. Leaping and catching ability are above average. He'll get stronger in the weight room.

The video was more or less showing you what is perceived to be a 3 star (me personally I think after a year of training he'll be one of our top receivers). Jalen Mills, Morris Claiborne, Tyrann Mathieu are 3 recent DBs that Miles has used the Third Eye on and has gotten tremendous results.

No such thing as bottom feeders when a scholarship is available for someone who otherwise wouldn't go.

Roll your eyes all you want, but you've got to admit that Miles (or at last someone on that staff) has an incredible eye for undervalued talent.

wrong, wrong and wrong. the reason he wasn't highly ranked was because he didn't camp anywhere, and he didn't have a lot of film out there. once he did, he became a 4 star

I don't think anyone is angry over the commitment. We just see him as a DB when he's listed as a WR commit.
