I know LSU hasn't been since they built it, but wondering if we had any posters that have gone anyway. How is the new stadium? This will be my first time in it, I'm sure I'll miss the nostalgia of Rosenblatt.

I went two years ago. It is a lot more "big league" park like. It sits in a bowl in the middle of downtown so the wind doesn't help the ball out like it did at the old stadium, which was up on the hill. It is a very nice park, don't get me wrong, but I felt like I was at more of a Zephyer type stadium than a "college" stadium.

Raph's roomate at LSUE played at Creighton after LSUE and it's their homefield... The roomate's dad is my boss does that count?

I have been every year since it opened. It is very nice. No it is not like a college baseball stadium, but was not designed to be. It was designed to hold the CWS and it does it nicely.

I like the fact that it isn't like a college facility. It was designed to facility large number of guests. It has plenty of food vendors so there is no waiting. There is a large concourse for walking around the whole facility. It has numerous restroom facilities, rarely saw waiting lines. They have set it up to allow for all the vendors, especially ESPN to have its interactive area without taking too much away from the openness.

The only thing I really don't care for is the sterility of the place by comparison to the old Rosenblatt. The old neighborhood feel around the park. The whole area has been rehabilitated and has yet to develop its character, but it is developing one (just like the new Alex Box compared to the old Alex Box).

I believe that once you go you will like it. If the Tigers will, you will love it. Or is that too much homer?
