Gameplay Trailer

It looks a little more interesting and fun than the past but it's hard to tell. The biggest problem has been repetitiveness which a demo won't show. Does anyone think this will shake things up for them in a good way? If it does I may actually continue the series myself.

I really thought AC3 would shake thing sup with a completely different storyline and with the additional of the forest environment and sailing...after playing my way up to about 70% synchronization I realized it was the same repetitive game with a new paint job.

Just my opinion tho.

So I doubt AC4 will change anything.

The game did have some new gameplay aspects with the naval part of the game.

Maybe I wasn't watching with 100% attention, but the naval stuff was in AC3. Correct me if I am wrong.

I tapped out in AC 3 early. I don't think I'll be coming back.

I was much more interested after the gameplay trailer, but AC seems like a product that should take a couple years to make.

Yes it was. You said AC3 was the same game with a new paint job, I pointed out a new dynamic they added.

AC4 will likely have evolved that part greatly.

It's locked on a two year dev cycle between multiple studios ala Call of Duty.

Oh nevermind then

I am not gonna lie I loved the ship fighting in AC3. I think it was because I started late and had everything on my ship upgraded all the way, but I thought it was a blast.

Which is what I did in revelations, I am just looking for a reason to come back

You are correct. The naval stuff was a really fun feature, but it didn't keep me interested enough to complete the rest of the game.

Hopefully the development of the naval stuff will make the game overall less repetitive.

I'm a fan of the AC series and have played all the games, but I didn't get too excited for this one. I just felt like they put a different cover AC3 and called that AC4.

I skipped Brotherhood and Revelations, IDK why really and went straight to AC3. Too clunky and the controls just didn't feel right. Press Y to shoot? No thanks.

Ubisoft working on 3 AC games
This way they can make sure they spit one out per year I guess. I guess if it makes money go for it but this doesn't give me high hopes.
