Watched this match on the DVR late Saturday night to get my mind off the LSU/Ole Miss game, so the whiskey prevented me from following the match as closely as I'd prefer. Was the first time I really liked what I saw from Götze though.

Looks like Dante' will be out vs. Viktoria Plzen, but Ribery will hopefully be back.

Really nice slate of CL games the next 2 days, looking forward to them.

Why is Robben being a bitch and not taking the pen?

LINK

Seriously? What are the circumstances behind this one?

a Journalist asked Robben : " Why did you let the penalty to Ribéry despite the coach's decision "
Robben : " He needs goals because he? is the one who competes for the Ballon D'Or not me, Ronaldo takes penalties for Real Madrid , Messi for Barcelona .. from now until January , if I'll have the occasion I will offer him more goals "

I try not to read YouTube comments bc they hurt my brain.

I'm sticking to he's a bitch. Or Ribery's bitch. Or both.

Robben has been so much better of a teammate the last couple of years. I was really surprised when he started acting like a douche bag about the penalties.

I think him and Gotze are decent friends, don't think they knew each other very well before this season, but after Robben pranced off Gotze grabbed him and calmed him down. I've also seen a handful of pictures of them laughing and cutting up at/after matches. I guess birds of a feather flock together. For looking like such a tool bag, I'm surprised that Gotze is so unwilling to get knocked off the ball or take a dive. He's actually incredibly strong on the ball and seems to love making as pass as much as he does taking a shot. Typically a very solid decision maker.

This was never the case at BvB, I didn't expect anything different. Despite all the Nike bullshite, I think he has a good attitude.
Robben is Robben. He shouldn't have taken the Müller pk personally, but I didn't really get why Pep wouldn't just let Robben take it either.

pretty poor match. defense wasn't in control at any point. glad we took all 3 points and the ref didn't go for any of their dives.

As good as Rìbery is...Bayern is never better than when Javi is in the XI..

ETA: not even trying to compare the 2 players, just showing how integral Martinez is in the midfield...

One great part of soccer is a player dominating without scoring goals...

Adidas is trying to facilitate us being the mls all star opponent next summer in Portland. The club just opened the office in NY and said they plan on coming over here more now, so I wouldn't be surprised to see our non internationals undressing the non international mls all stars in Portland.

Sloppy game today. Oh well, still 3 points and round of 16. I'm not complaining.
