I saw that Gustavo didn't play in the opener. Is he considered to be out the door in general at this point? Also saw this ESPNFC article on r/gunners:

Mario Goetze is in the squad for the game Saturday. Pep said he doesn't know the XI until right up against game time but he'll be in the 18 at least.

Bayern II is up 5-0. Julian Green just scored a goal.

quote:

Martinez did not travel with the squad, deemed unfit after flying back late from Spain's 2-0 win over Ecuador on Wednesday, and Sammer was highly critical of how the Spain camp treated the Bayern player.

"Javi came back in a state," 45-year-old German fumed.

"I have absolutely no sympathy for the Spanish Association. This is an outrage for the player. These players are glad and happy to work for [their national team].

"But what is expected of them is an outrage. Javi was completely empty. Therefore, the coach did not take him [to Frankfurt]."

ETA - plus,

Three thoughts from that -

I love Paulaner, which is a big help in my love for Bayern.

Lahm is tiny

If a guy that looked like Ribery sat at my table during Octoberfest, I'd find a new table

You think Franck was looking over his shoulder the whole time hoping someone wasn't gonna throw beer on him like the Bundesliga celebration last year?

After running around for 90 mins, I've never seen a dude sprint like that in my life...

Quick thoughts on yesterday's win vs. Nürnberg...

--Frustrating first half to watch, so many chances without hitting the net
--Horrible PK no-call in the box when Mandzo got slammed, horrible PK makeup call minutes later, horrible PK attempt by Alaba, he's better than that
--fair debut for Götze
--could feel the energy shift after the subs, seemed to play more like last year's style
--Robben played out of his mind in 2nd half
