She told her story to McCrae and Amanda one night. Basically her birth mom was a 16 year old white girl that got pregnant by a black guy after a Prince concert. She was given up for adoption and a black family in New Orleans adopted her but she didn't find out she was adopted till her mid 20's. Met her birth mom On the Oprah show and spends time with her white family (couple of half brothers and sisters) each year in Arizona.
