Looking at getting the proturn 48, just wanted to know what the OB's experience was with Gravleys.

I have a Gravely Commercial 52". Never had a problem in 6 years and I'm pretty hard on shite. Mow about 3.5 acres w/ it...

not as good as they used to be. They're rebadged Ariens Zooms now.

When I was a kid we had one with the sulky and that thing was a beast. Wasn't much you could do to kill it.

you're talking about the old Gravely walk behind tractors with the different attachments. Yeah,those things were beast.

Starting them were fun. You had to risk losing a digit by the chain spinning on the crank shaft.

But once it started it would pull you like a bull.

the cast iron gear boxes on them things was indestructable. I remember using a fricking rotary plow on one before. Caught a root and the whole damn thing spun around,throwing me from it and it started coming for me!

I love mine, only issue I've had were ethanol gas eating the fuel lines.
