And give me the reasons why.

I'm going to go with either CF or 2B.

Does the question in the OP mean:

"What position in the MLB takes the most talent to play?" or "What position in the MLB has the highest amount of talented players?"

If it's the former, then I'd say CF or SS... If it's the latter, then it's undoubtedly 1B.

Currently? Third Base

Best hitter in baseball in Miggy, David Wright, Longoria, Machado, Beltre, Zimmerman, Headley, Aramis and Panda.

Loads of hitting and fielding talent over on the hot corner.

Most top heavy position currently in MLB, IMO.

I don't think a lot of folks understood the OPs point.,2B is a pretty talented position right now.

Ok. What's the hardest position to play? I played left field. Not to bad. Catcher has to be hard. If only because squaring in that position all the fricking time for games, practice etc.

Of course, pitching is actually the hardest I am sure.

Definitely 3B or 1B currently. That's where the most talented hitters play at in addition to having decent fielding abilities.

I can't think of a time when there has been more talent at 3B.

1B is the easiest position to play so its always going to have the most good hitters but relative to history 1b is nothing special right now.

Talent as in players:
Back in the day: Centerfield (Ken Griffey Jr.)
Today: Pitchers

Talent as in Talent:
SS

If OF counts as one as a whole then it should be up for debate.
