Falling Skies Season 3 Thread

Hopefully there's enough interest in this show on this board to keep this going. It's a good show, good drama, good plot and decent acting. You never ever feel like you're wasting your time with this show. First episode tonight is a 2 hour premiere and supposedly, it's supposed to be very action packed. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm wondering if the rebel skiiters allying up with the 2nd mass is related somehow to the new aliens.

i started thinking...that weapon building that they raided and destroyed toward the end of last season
i think the skitters built that, knowing the other aliens were incoming
and the humans just thought that the weapon was to fight the humans, not realizing it was against the other aliens?

Completely plausible.
The weapon may very well have been designed to shoot the new arrivals down and the rebel skitters may have lied a little bit to gain the humans help and destroy it. If they told the truth, I think the humans would have been scared off from doing it. Maybe from there on, they'll be complete honest.

I like this show but I'll have to record it tonight. Gotta watch Game of Thrones even though I still haven't gotten over last weeks episode.
Can't wait to see what that alien is all bout at the end of the last season.

You have to think that "weapon" they blew up was something to fend off these new aliens. It was pointed towards the sky/space. I'm expecting some sort of alliance
One thing I'm disappointed is that the premiere tonite starts up 7 months later. I would rather have them pick up exactly where they left it off. And I hate the brain bug storyline already, its been done so many times before, very unoriginal.

If I were a betting man, I would say that this issue is going to be resolved very soon, maybe tonight or in the next episode or two. They just needed a cliffhanger to go with the new aliens in the finale last summer IMO.

Enjoying the heck out of the season premiere. Really like the show. The only thing I don't like is Poe's attitude. He's all "That ain't gonna work. You can't do that". Then they do it and of course he says "well how bout that", and whatever stupid shite. He either needs to leave the group or get caught in some crossfire.

Yeah, this was a very good premiere. I really enjoyed it. Very entertaining. Like I said, I never felt like I was wasting my time with this.
So Tom Mason is the president and the commander-in-chief of the rebel forces now? Hmm, interesting.
WTF is up with that creepy baby??? It's doing things and is more aloof than any baby and holy crap was she really talking? Yeah, that baby has something going on with the aliens.
I wonder what Karen is trying to with Hal. What does she have to gain with him? Does she still want his dick or something? Maggie is gonna have to throw a bitch down with her again.
I agree with you about pope. He's up to no good and is a time bomb that's ticking closer to explosion. They should get rid of him or jail him ASAP.
I wonder who the mole is? I'm inclined to think its not Hal at all and it's somebody that we never saw coming. Maybe it's the new chick that's following mason around with his schedule. Shame about Manchester though. Hell of a way to go out.
That's an interesting gun they're building. Is it a gun they're really building or is it something else?

I was all on the new aliens side at the beginning of the episode, but damnit, Weaver has me thinking now.

I hope they're legit. I really do. It woud be cool to forge some intergalactic diplomacy after all this.
The volm have a really good command of the English language. I hope we see some backstory in how they developed relations in the past seven months.

Didn't want to read this thread (even though it's short...TWSS) since I haven't watched yet, but how were the first two episodes? This is a show that I don't really miss when it's gone, but am glad it's finally back.

Premiere was AWESOME in my opinion...lots of action, lots of new stuff

Nice. Season two was an improvement over season one, so hopefully that trend continues.

Last season was much improved over the first. I like how this season started out so far. The only character I could really do without is Poe. I know that they need a character to balance out Tom as the ultimate good guy, but Poe sucks.

I can't believe Tom was so trusting to let them build it in secret. They could be building some transport device to jump the entire Volm fleet for all he knows. The way they make it sound the original aliens are going to lose soon as they are going all in for a final battle that they of course will lose which means the Volm are about to become our new overlords.
