They are going to the World Series. I'm not sure if they are any good though.

I believe the better question is how do they match up to LSU because we are the best team in this tournament.

They are a bunch of tree hugging hippies

they look like a small ball team.
dont have a regular hitting over .279
pitching looks good but not overpowering like the last time we faced them

I believe they're from out West somewhere.

Chris Guillot can tell you all about them

They are a fairly solid ball club. Offense is pretty atrocious, and their pitching is pretty good. I think the biggest thing is that they seem to take advantage of mistakes. Their win on Saturday was 3-0 with all 3 runs being unearned runs. I think that they are fairly similar to Oklahoma is many aspects, however, their batting is worse. They do not have one hitter that can take over a game.

If we pitch Nola, 3 runs will win us the game.

“One thing I will say about them is if they’re ahead in the sixth inning, the game’s over. The numbers just show that, John (Savage) has so many ways to go. They’ve done a really good job. (Righty James) Kaprielian throws the seventh, (righty Zack) Weiss throws the eighth, Berg the ninth—unless one of them doesn’t throw well, then Berg just comes in and finishes the game. He is the difference maker. He’s tough to hit, wants the ball in the big spot, relishes it. Submarineers are tough to hit. He’s not 72—it’s 78-84. And he’s not a mess against lefthanded hitters, so you can’t just throw up some lefthanded hitters and think you’re going to beat him. I don’t know if Berg’s given up more than a handful of extra-base hits all year (eight). What he’s done is ridiculous. Because he can do it every day. It’s not that, hey, look what he’s done, he has 20 saves in 25 innings. He has like 67 innings. He leads the country in ERA, can strike out a guy an inning, doesn’t walk anybody, doesn’t give up any hits. A lot of times you don’t see a submariner with those strikeout numbers. The slider can give you problems. You want to be as lefthanded as possible when you face him, because then he’s mainly fastball. The changeup isn’t as much a pitch for him. You need to get up in the box and try to take away the sink. If you’re back in the box, you’re going to be in a lot of trouble....

We can both pitch and play defense. They have arguably the best bullpen in NCAA. They cannot hit a softball & we hit better than anyone

so basically their closer is their best player.

It infuriates me in some irrational way that they have a "B" on their caps and are UCLA. I know what it stands for, but it still bothers the hell out of me. Therefore, they must perish.

They have one of the best baseball fields around - they share it with Grape Vine middle school - been known to pack 145 peeps in during a weekend series.

Jackie Robinson hit .090 with the Bruins back in the day. He'd fit in well with this bunch.

I would not say that. I believe that the closer is successful mainly because their set up man throws mid 90s. You have a drastic change of pace as well as a change in arm angle when the closer comes in. It is along the same line as the Vandy closer that LSU saw in the SEC Championship.
