Had some cool scenes, but nothing about it made sense. About what I expected I guess. And the Democrats to my left were annoying as shite.

The entire premise of the movie makes no sense at all. Why wouldn't the family just lock their shite up and go to the Bahamas for a few days or something?

A movie about a family going to the Bahamas that's called 'The Purge" would likely just be an hour and a half of people vomiting.

I had the exact same experience. The movie sucked, made no sense and was predictable as shite. The crowd was what I expected, but didn't make it any better.
What actually made me sad as a human was people applauding the movie when a gruesome death scene happened. Not a good guy killing a bad guy per se. Just applauding someone dying. It all just seemed animalistic and barbaric.

The fact that a guy who owns a company that secures homes for the purge gets broke into removes the intrigue. It should have been impossible to get in to. Also why would psychos give them a chance to turn him over. Why not just break in and kill everyone? Then the neighbors throw them under the bus at the end? Stupid.

Its a pretty cool concept but there is absolutely nothing about it that is practical or really makes sense.
Say you're up for a promotion and its between you and another dude. Lets say the Purge is coming up. "Oh, I'll just take care of this dude and it's all mine." You think the bosses are really gonna be like "oh yeah, thats no big deal. please continue to work here."?

I liked it and thought it was a good movie. You haven't seen it and base all your opinions off a 30 second promo or reading the plot on Wiki. I can punch plot holes in every movie I have ever watched. It's still an original idea and a fun, suspenseful movie.
