Calcutta 301 for a round reel.
Curado 301 for low profile.

I bought a JOhnny Morris Gold from bass pro. It supposedly out tests the others.

Its bad arse to say the least. Got my dad one also. Smooth as butter

Abu Garcia Ambassadeur reels have always been my favorite. I have 3 of them...one being an Ambassadeur 5000 that was my dads reel. He bought it when he was 16, almost 40 years ago. Still works like a champ.
