Ran across it, while trying to figure something else, and just wanted to post it here, so folks could see the types of OOCs we used to play.

quote:

Date Opponent Result Site
Sep. 3 Texas A&M W27-0 Baton Rouge
Sep. 17 Tennessee W34-9 Knoxville
Sep. 24 Ohio St. L33-36 Columbus
Oct. 1 Florida L6-19 Gainesville
Oct. 8 Auburn W7-6 Baton Rouge
Oct. 15 Kentucky W15-12 Baton Rouge
Oct. 29 Ole Miss W31-20 Baton Rouge
Nov. 5 Alabama W19-18 Tuscaloosa
Nov. 12 Miss. State W20-3 Starkville
Nov. 19 Miami (FL) L3-44 Baton Rouge
Nov. 26 Tulane W44-14 Baton Rouge

A&M, Ohio State, and the U. Unreal.

Of course, it could easily be argued that the Miami game was the official beginning of the wheels coming off the program.

To this day, though, I still love Broadhead for schedules like this.

Yeah. Didn't go to 8 games until Ark and S.Car. joined the conference.

3-44.

Funny how a few years later 40-3 did them in.

Turnabout is fair play!

hated Michael Irvin ever since that night, POS thug, I was at that game, there was a real hurricane that night, everyone had these huge garbage bags with head/arm holes punched out, we were drenched before we put them on, fun except for the game, I wish the students would have charged the field when Irvin was down there taunting them
ETA: compare what Wing did to draw his penalty on the punt return v. UF to what Irvin did that night, of course today's celebration, taunting, unsportsmanlike, etc. penelties are as a direct result of that scumbag team

That was the year I attended my first game in Death Valley, the earthquake game. I was 4. I was also at the Miami game and remember almost hurricane-like weather. Pun intended.

Tough call for my most miserable game experience between this game and the freezing 31-0 Bama loss.

No, I just want evenhanded sanity in scheduling -- for all teams.

Have fun getting jacked up for UAB, Kent State, and Furman next year.

I was a young kid, but my dad still talks about how we should have beaten Ohio State. Robbed, he says.

The Miami beatdown kinda illustrates just how good that Hurricane team really was. And to think they didn't win the title that year.

Miami's 1988 schedule was even tougher. I think they played and beat 5-6 conference champions.

I was there. Eddie Fuller in the back of the end zone for the go ahead TD. Richter scale game. Wife bitched the entire time wanting to leave early. Glad I didn't.

yeah, just looked that up, but I still hated him after that game, trying to figure out who that a-hole was that was taunting the student section all night, I think he was wearing 88, been a long time
