Going to run some in the cuts off the Tchefuncta. Any certain bait I should get? Heard chicken livers worked well. Also planned on castnetting for some live bream. Any suggestions?

Try a couple different baits to see what they want. That would be a likely place for you to catch some on skrips. If you can catch skipjack, 1" squares of cut skipjack are money. Live bream will work too if you can get some 3"-ers. Livers are hard to keep on a hook in moving water. Right now the eels are moving through and the catfish know it, so if you catch one make sure to cut him up and use as bait.

That's pretty good. Live hook some of the bream and cut some of them to see if one way works better than the other.
The liver is good bait, but doesn't stay on the hook good. I would suggest night crawlers, chicken hearts, and definitly any shad you may catch while trying to net bream.

Any bream . The bigger the better hooked just like a shiner

If you can get bream, never ever pay for baby buffalo. Most overrated bait ever.

buy about 200 crickets to catch bream throw them in you livewell with some release me . The will be full of spunk when you are ready to bait your lines

You can catch some monsters on live crawfish. Go talk to the guy across the street from Lakeside Daiquiri's on Burbank. He will sell you a small sack for a reasonable price. Good luck!

I don't know about that river but on the Amite river Ivory Soap cut into cubes is definitely legit when the conditions are right.
Always found the soap works better when the water is murky. Once it starts clearing up we switch to shiners.

Used to think people were messing with me when they would tell me they caught catfish off of this. After trying it, i realized that this actually works well.

Think I could put one out in Cotile and do anything?

Probably better off doing individual lines on tree tops, but I have no experience. I'm told ops will swim up and down those old trees at night after bream.

Another old fishing trick that works well is marshmallows. Not for catfish, but the bream will tear up those mini marshmallows

If you can get crawfish, that is a win win.
