So when Benson said there will be no more excuses of losing, what or who do you think he was referring to? And no I don't want this to go on a hate/love Monty tangent. And it was reported that he was looking for his coach while saying this.

I'll answer this for you Money. It's because IT IS a make or break season.

There will be no excuses for losing.

If this team doesn't make a significant leap (wins and losses) next year, Benson will make changes. That is a fricking lrock solid certainty

False. If GV learns to use his size, he can post up smaller guards.

Wouldn't be surprised if a NBA team already in Italy for Eurocamp tries to go to Croatia and persuade Saric to stay in.

For teams that didn't like Saric, they're still upset. Draft gets weaker when talent pulls out, even if it's not the guy you want.

A lot of NBA execs bummed after Saric news. Several told me they had him in their Top 5 or Top 7.

Wonder if Dell is still over there.

Burke is the only workout set up and it's over a week away and the delay in workouts was attributed to Demps scouting Europe, so he probably is still over there.

I think so too, but a draft pick is not going to create that leap. Young guys (AD,Rivers) getting better and veteran free agents will. Do you really think that Burke or Len will give them what they need to make a significant leap?

My initial reaction is to go off, but I won't. I'll be calm in my tone and say this.

We are still 3 weeks away from the draft. We have a nice chunk of change to spend in FA, and you're already saying we have no chance of making the playoffs? This baffles me!
You tell me. When do you expect this franchise to make a playoff run?

I want to wait until after free agency to set my seasons expectations. But I'd like to be in the playoff hunt next year. If we don't make the playoffs and are a game or two out, I think I'd be ok. It's a significant improvement.

I don't expect to make the playoffs next year, but would not be surprised if they are a 7 or 8 seed. The team is very young still and these things take more than 2 years to build. I mean right now the Spurs, Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Grizzlies, Rockets & Thunder are all teams that have proven stars on their teams. Those teams will be in the playoffs. That leaves one spot for the Pels to fight for. Not saying they can't get it, but is definitely not a sure thing. Be patient there will be a nice jump for last year to next. But to go from where they were last year to the playoffs is a big leap.
