No, but I care more about the Saints than the Pelicans, and NFL than NBA. I'd much rather XLIV than the Hornets win it all in 2007. But as far as NBA teams go, yes. Pelicans have no rivals because no one cares enough to not root for them to win championships.

the best argument for a rivalry you have for the hornicans is the clippers. by far. outside of that, i don't think you could make a legit argument.

College sports are different, because public and media perception of a conference has given teams like LSU in '07 and Bama in '11 the benefit of the doubt because their conference is so tough.
The Hornets have been an unsuccessful franchise, you're not going to have multiple title bouts with any team. Saints and Falcons have pretty much always been horrible as well, they only play twice a year. Why are we rivals? Because we hate each other.

We don't really have any rivals. I used to hate all the Texas teams but now I don't see the point

I like the heat, hated the clips for a little while and now I don't care. What's the point of hating them? Let Chris Paul and his clips fans wallow in first round oblivion.

I love watching this Spurs team play. I would kill for our franchise to build itself like theirs. But hey, let's pull for the superfriends model so that guys like CP3 and AD will abandon NOLA to buddy up with better players because of some contrived rivalry. It's what all us superfans do.

Pulling for them or not pulling for them wont make a difference. Me rooting for the heat wont affect the decisions Anthony Davis makes in his life. I don't play desperation with the players I like. I have nothing to do with any of the players on our teams decisions down the line.

All my friends that are so called "Pelicans fans" are cheering for the Spurs and I thinks its a disgrace
You don't EVER cheer for a division rival to win a championship. I told everyone this when they were the biggest Mavs fans and Dirk worshippers 2 years ago.
