Anderson for Lin or Asik? What say you?

Been reading some Rockets team forums while looking for info on where Dwight will be going next year. Rockets fans generally seem pretty confident that they are the front runner to land him.
Where it gets interesting is that to Rockets fans, getting Dwight means immediately switching to win-now mode. And the prevailing opinion is that they can not win now without a new PF. So the ideas are floating around of trading either Asik or Lin in search for a starting-claliber 4.
So I bring one proposal floating around Rockets boards to Pelicans Talk talk to get y'alls input. If Rockets offered Jeremy Lin for Ryan Anderson, do the Pelicans take it (or at the least, are they intrigued)?
The Rockets' board loved it, thinking Anderson fits their system as a 4 really well. Do Pelicans fans think Lin can potentially be their answer to the PG dilemma? Or if you're not willing to depart with Anderson for only Lin, the other idea floating around was Asik and the Lithuanian PF for Anderson and Lopez (though they seem to want to keep Asik more than Lin). Do either of these makes sense for the Pelicans?

And getting trade raped in the process? Nah. Those retards couldn't wait to overspend for Asik and Lin. Let them deal with their own terrible contract decisions.

Haha, fair enough. Guess they think more highly of their assets than the rest of the league. That's what I was curious about

frick no. They combine to make $30m in 2014/15. If they threw in Parsons and Benson was willing to spend our cap space and eat a fairly nasty tax for one season, then I'd do it.

Suppose to be one or the other, not both. Sorry, fixed it
Posted on 6/3/13 at 5:48 pm to Jester
Also, if those two get traded, what happens to the poison pills that they signed?

I think he means Lin or Asik.
Either way, no. They are basically our Vasquez and Lopez except they cost 100x more.

No.
1. I don't want to help the Rockets in any way land Howard and/or Paul
2. I damn sure don't want to pay Lin or Asik 14 mil after next year.

Still a no unless they include Parsons. And Houston won't do that, they're trying to clear space for Howard and Ryno will cost them more this season than either of those guys.

Pretty sure the cap hit for all three players is 8 million. At least, that was the basis for the proposal. The trade could happen without significantly affecting their cap available.
