When's the last time the three lions won anything of significance, on soccers' big stage ?
Hasn't it been a long string of failure since 1966 ?

1966 ?

this was a home cooked one (like Argentina´s first).

Could they have won a European Championship since then? Surely.

Just googled.

They have won nothing.

Thanks...that's what I thought.
For all their bravado and posturing, you would think "the motherland of football", would have more than 1966 to show ?
Is it the administration, coaching, system, facilities,$ or lack of "national team" type players ?

What a save. Leno is really good, so is Oliver Baumann their backup.

This Dutch team is extremely talented. Adam Maher, Strootman, and Ola John are all going to be world class one day

I'm guessing this tournament is a bigger deal than the U-21 tournament going on in Toulon that's been showing on Bein? That tournament has France, Belgium, and Portugal from the Uefa side. Did they not qualify for this one? Sorry, I'm lost

It is. Didn't qualify, but Toulon is a "true" U21 tournament (age cutoff for the Euro championships is applied at the start of qualifying). So, even if they were to have qualified, their squads would look dramatically different.

I really like Volland. He had some nice flashes for hoffenheim last year. I think he's only 19

Eta he's 20
