Starts in 11 days. I cannot remember being this excited to see a movie since the Dark Knight Returns. I hope this turns out to be a special movie.

I am sure this has been posted but I will just leave this here.

I'm not sure what it is but I'm not feeling any real excitement for this movie. Maybe it's the influx of reboots the past few years. That said, I fully expect it to be very good, and plan to see it, but just not feeling any real noteworthy anticipation for it. Maybe just me. Meh!

Not sure whether to really expect a good movie, but I can tell you the long preview I saw before Star Trek last weekend gave me full body goosebumps like nothing I can remember since LOTR.

Trailer is AWESOME.

As a Dad with two sons, the conversation scene between Costner and Clark about just wanting to be his son gave me goosebumps the first time I saw it.

It's also nice to see Clark's Dads being portrayed in a strong and loving way. These days most dads in movies are portrayed as idiots who don't know how to anything but screw things up.

Who will his nemesis be in this flick? Lex is the worst nemesis ever to go against the most powerful being in the universe. His only weapon is to hang a piece of green rock or stick our hero with it. This is why Superman 2 was one of the greatest super hero flicks of all time. Superman actually had foes of equal or greater strength to battle. I hope this is a reboot of 2 and if not I hope they bring an intergalactic powerful rival to the table although I believe that is doubtful.

They have shown Zod. No hint of Lex, but I bet they will surprise us with Lex somehow.

It's the Toymaster and Prankster. I've wanted to see Nolan's version of these two badasses since I was like 2.

That is good news. Lex is great as a side note but it always fails, even in the comics, when Lex was put head to head against Superman.

It's probably the shameful number of recycled superhero movies everybody has made lately.

It's Zod played by Michael Shannon. I think he's going to knock it out of the park.

Told my wife the same thing...I welled up in the theater during the trailer.

I'm like the OP...can't wait for this movie. I grew up a Reeves/Superman fan, but have found those have aged poorly for me...but I'm really wanting to see a new take on Supes. My two sons are excited to see it as well.

a well done Lex is the most dangerous person in Supes life.. that being said, even when he's "most dangerous" he is only a side note to the actual threat.. needless to say, Lex is not the "nemesis" in this film
