Local Kabota dealer sharpened my Woods mower blades with his special grinder. Do these need to be heat treated or do I just use as is.

Do they look discolored. A blueish tint to them, like they were overheated?

No there is no blue tint. I was just worried the grinding may have softened the steel. Think I'm good to go?

You should be tood to go. Just out of curosity how did you plan on heat treating them? Do you have a furnace?

You should be good. If they had the right tool they wouldn't have overheated them.

Just make sure if you do reharden, just do the cutting edge not the whole blade. Hardened steel is brittle and you don't want the blades to break off and become projectiles.

No furnace, but that would have been my next question. I've got a torch I could heat with but I'm clueless on what is needed or any details. My oven could hold the 24" blades but it is probably not hot enough.

Torch with a rosebud. Get the cutting edges as hot as you possible can. then dip them in a oil bath.

Each edge is about 8" long X 3 blades X 2 edges per blade. I could get them plenty hot with the torch. Is this worth it in your opinion?

Not sure. Try one and use it for a few cuttings and see if there is a difference. You can youtube for some good tips on hardened steel.
