I didn't think Game 1's color could have gotten any worse. Who in the hell is ESPN hiring to do this? That was embarassing for them last night.

He was pretty awful...my favorite terrible line was about one of LSU's players not being a threat to steal (Katz?)...he said the only time I'd send him is on a slow breaking curveball...
How would we know what pitch was being thrown?

He never missed a good opportunity to take a jab at LSU. Any time the other guy said something positive about LSU, there he was to say, "yeah but..."

It got old quick.

And why would Mainieri be on the mound talking to Houston’s entire infield about defensive strategy?

Can you refer to someone as a “color guy” and still be PC?

I had to listen to the game on the sam houston radio station....now that wasn't fun. In the 8th when we put it on them they knew it was history.

They complained about A LOT of calls.

I never even hear those guys talk........I could care less who the "color" guy is. Guess it's just me. My wife hears the shoes squeak during basketball games, I don't hear it because I'm focused on the game. If you tune in to hear the announcers then I feel sorry for you.

Not all of us need hearing aids yet. But hey, that's a good thing for you that you couldn't hear what he was saying.

I thought just the opposite. He was very complimentary about LSU. He said it was the best atmosphere in college baseball and numerous times said that any kid ought to jump at the chance to play for LSU. He said LSU has the best program in college baseball. I liked what he said about LSU.

Which is why I watch the game with the sound turned to zero. The color guy always makes a big point about how the fans are wrong and the ump is right and we all know he is a former MLB scout.......because he keeps reminding us. He said, "I like watching the batters hands." Ohh, you watch things us ignorant fans wouldn't even think to watch. You are so smart.

he was all about some Jackson State bat speed until they got to the cleanup batter and he was like "oh no. White boy can't be swinging like this in MLB."

He was really bad. He didnt know or fricked up basic baseball terminology almost every inning. I'm guessing there's a reason he's on ESPN3

Loved how he said several times that the Umps were doing a good job of calling the game. He was as bad as the Jack Wagon's on the field calling the game except he had a mic!!!
