i feel really dumb for not knowing he directed it, but at the same time I dont feel too bad because normally every movie he directs is titled "M. Night Shyamalan's fantastic poopy movie"
How is it?
is there a big twist? with M. Night i could have seen the twist being the planet they are on was earth, but the name and trailer kinda pointed that out already

Will Smith is actually a horse in a man suit the whole movie. Well, actually, he wasn't a horse... he was a broom in a horse suit.

The marketing department has gone out of their way to say, "No, we swear to God Shyamalan has nothing to do with this. Don't you see Will Smith and Jaden Smith. Look at them and don't ask who the director is, for god's sake!"

History will not be kind to this movie, we may have another Gigli on our hands.

To be honest, Diane, I'm surprised.

Heard today that his name is not being promoted because his last two movies tanked.

i really don't know if i've seen such a technically adept director fall so far...at least in my lifetime
there were some guys from that 70s era who showed some ability and then fizzled (LOOKIN AT YOU BRIAN DE PALMA), but a lot of their hype was based on potential. i've SEEN m night direct (and i mean his actual direction/cinematography) really well-made films, visually
Signs was pretty amazing until they continued it after the lights went dark in the basement (seriously imaigne how great that movie would have been had they just ended it there)
