Here's why, Tebow was in top physical shape, nothing he could do would change how shitty he was.

Jamarcus on the Other hand was in shitty physical and mental condition. He has.changed that, he deserves a second chance. When in top physical condition, he is a beast.

Was he never in top physical shape in Oakland? There were a lot of ex NFL players saying he never showed the desire to be an NFL Quarterback.

I hope he gets another chance. Whether he succeeds or fails, maybe we can move on.

Dude was dead to me when he showed up at the BCSNC in 2007 wearing his technicolor dream coat and diamond encrusted bling elephant that said "Bama Boy"

Yeah it's not like he tore up Alabama every time he actually played them.

How do these retards get jobs like that? That may be the stupidest comment I've heard from a so-called NFL 'analyst' in my lifetime and that's really saying something.

I really want him in Pittsburgh. Ben gets injured every year and our backups fail to get the job done. Now we've went and grabbed a waste of a QB for backup and spent our 4th round pick on a less than mediocre Landry Jones. We should definitely be one of the guys looking at him.

Everybody effs up so why shouldn't JR have a second chance.. Wish Saints would give him a look.

If he gets signed, I hope he doesn't get shoved into service too quickly and not have a chance to learn from a good starter in front of him....Good Luck JR!

JaMarcus was a great PLAYER here at LSU, and I consider him one of our best QB's... but leadership is not his strong suit.

Ill take him having a lot of come back wins as a sign of leadership and ability. Come on man, the guy was a stud at LSU.

Isnt tebow still in the nfl? He already git another chance with the jets. Sanchez is a worse qb than jmarc, hes the worst ive seen last this long. Tebow cant start over him.

Jmarc was still in good shape at least the first 2 seasons. He fell off, delt with issues. Teams should at least let him work out. Wont hurt anybody. Maybe he does just end up in the cfl, or maybe makes a squad.

What? You do know 2006 is the only season in the saban/les era we had the starting qb go a season not hurt or benched? Maybe 03, not sure if mauk got banged up or not. Saban should have played him more in 04. He got hurt in seccg in 05. Flynns first play was a pick 6 i believe.

Wtf are yall talking about?

That's why a big part of his comeback will have to be mental

He was put in a poor situation in Oakland. Terrible coaching and personnel management. They were breaking him in with all young receivers that weren't developed and still aren't anyone special to this day.

And things are a lot different when you have the pressure of being the franchise guy.

Now, he'll be lucky to get a few workouts and he'll likely get a chance as a back up at best. Without that same pressure, he may be more comfortable. And without taking live snaps he might get more motivated. I don't know how he will respond but I won't be so quick to judge a guy who blew an opportunity like that. That's pressure that most of us can't identify with or even imagine.

Yeah, but then you've got to explain how Mark Sanchez keeps getting chances. Tebow has a higher QB rating than him and actually has a winning record as a starter (as unconventional as he may be).

I get that he is an easy target to dogpile.

Let's just say the Bama Boy Necklace was from Jmarc's lost era or dark/down days. Dude has/had a world of talent, was fun to watch while playing at LSU (for the most part) and I am rooting for him to make it back.

What about the fact that JR wears nothing but LSU gear now?

With all due respect for JR. wearing lsu gear now is nothing more than trying to get people to associate him with the lsu QB he was and not the NFL QB he became. Just PR and nothing more. JR's primary problem with a come back is getting past the mental image of "JR The NFL QB ."
