Someone said in the Louisiana/MLB thread that the south wasn't big on baseball...it got me thinking...which state loves baseball (All facets: tee ball-majors) the most?
I'd say Louisiana or Texas

MS or FL should probably be in the mix also
It's actually a pretty huge sport in Southern California also.

From my experience, I would have to say rural people and latinos like baseball the most
So I'm going with FL or TX

I played in a baseball tournament in California when I was in high school. Was located a couple hours north or LA. Very good baseball teams, with nice fields (one we played on was actually up in the mountains). Pretty cool for a Louisiana boy....just cold as hell for a night game.
Anyway, we were told that baseball there was as big a deal as high school football here.

I'd say Missouri. Cards fans are widely considered among the best in MLB. Royals fans, although less rewarded by their team, are pretty loyal too.

To go with what people have been saying about California: their high school and College teams are highly competitive, especially smaller schools (Cal State Fullerton, Irvine, Fresno) and they have 5 professional baseball teams...I'm going with Cali on 2nd thought

If we're talking about youth and high school baseball it would have to be socal. If we're talking about mlb fans Massachusetts should be mentioned. Those motherfrickers are reallllly into the Red Sox.

True. We also love those summer high school and collegiate leagues. Our city(Joplin) is apart of the M.I.N.K.(Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas) league for summer collegiate baseball. Missouri have 6 teams out of the 8 teams.
We use to be in the Jayhawk league based out of Kansas. Strong league. I love the NBC World Series in Wichita.

True, but I'd still put Missouri up there too, esp. with Cards fans.

I honestly think with the right marketing and timing the combination of L.A. and Orange County could probably support as many as 4 MLB franchises.

I hear you. I live in Orange County CA. Met a Cardinals fan recently who lives here but flew back to St. Louis just for opening day.
