Paging wickowick or anyone who knows Amite/Diversion area.

My 17yo is spending week at his buddy's camp, just those two. They are planning on running trot lines, limb lines, jugs and traps. They are eager little bastards.
Where would ya'll suggest them running lines? It has been years since I have been in that area. I am out of the know.
I want these boys to have a good time.. running lines and traps are better than video games and up their g/f's tail!

Water has been up, moving and dirty that should be good for cats. Also, the storm surge from Isaac hit the other fish hard, little to no bass to be found from the reports I have heard. I'm not sure about the pan fish. With a week they need to just bait and see what they pull in...

You need to really explain that danger of the lake and how quickly it can go from smooth to rough. Literately in minutes with it being so shallow. Explain that cops and green jeans will be everywhere and they will get stopped.

Your boy sounds like a good kid. I'd just warn him LDWF will have 4-8 boats out there writing up all drunkards driving boats. I hope he catches a mess of fish and sees plenty of boobies.
