How did tv ratings do on SEC Championship game ?

College baseball isn't a huge draw. Vandy has a small market. It was an SEC game on Memorial Day w/e. I doubt the numbers were much different than previous years.

Not sure about tv but the stadium was packed !

ETA: college baseball extended the season an extra week in 2010. Regionals used to start on memorial day w/e.

I've been to the tourney in 08,08,10 and 13. Seems like they were all on memorial day weekend. But, there was alcohol involved...

The season was extended on the front end of the schedule. The selection show has been coming on on Memorial Day for as long as they've been broadcasting it.

You are right. I had too much alcohol over the w/e
It must have been 20 years ago when they played on memorial day w/e...of course alcohol was even more involved back then. Regardless I just don't see a significant ratings increase b/c Vandy/LSU played. I would even think the ratings would have been lower in SEC states.

The SEC tournament championship has only been broadcast nationally by ESPN for the last 4 years. I know that some of those years it was on ESPNU, which is beyond basic cable. Given the change to put it on ESPN2 and pair it with the ACC game to make a programming block, I don't see why you are so certain that there was no uptick in the ratings at all.
It was more accessible to people and at least a little more promoted than normal.

The only blog I could find that puts out TV ratings said Sundays ratings won't come out until tomorrow.
