News: Ryan Divish of the Tacoma News Tribune reports that the Mariners are calling up infield prospect Nick Franklin.

Impact: Franklin has hit .324/.440/.472 with four home runs and seven stolen bases in 39 games this season at the Triple-A level and is worth scooping up in standard mixed fantasy leagues. The Mariners wouldn't promote the 22-year-old to sit on the bench. He should get regular playing time, whether that's at second base or shortstop

Franklin isnt a "cant miss" type of guy, but Cozart sucks so i'd probably pull the trigger knowing no one will pick up Cozart anyway. You can always go back to him.

Yeah, he was in the PCL too and put up modest pop.

He did hit 23 in A ball Midwest League. For comparison, Derek Dietrich (current Marlins SS) hit 22 HR in the same league in 2011. He's currently at 5/3/7 with a .712 OPS in 56 MLB ABs.

As my boy Barry says, you gotta have perspective on these prospects. Unless there name is Trout or Harper they usually do not come out the gate tearing shite up.

thx to Trout & Harper, people think every prospect is going to be the next big thing.

I wouldnt rush to add him in a 10 team mixed. 12 team keeper, if i had an extra roster spot maybe. a deep keeper league like TDBL, certainly.

ETA: & Ackley sent down

If I were you guys I'd definitely stop drafting prospects and stick to the tried and true like Ryan Howard - PROVEN TRACK RECORD.
