It'll be us, Vandy and UNC in the top 3, with UNC at #3 IMO.

Either way, we would be on the opposite side of the bracket as Vandy and wouldn't face them until the finals of the CWS.

with both teams treating this like a midweek game, it has zero affect on seeding.

wow what a retarded comment. They aren't treating the SEC championship game like a midweek game. These threads are getting awesome.

they are still #1 in RPI to our #5 (#4 maybe if we win) and finished 3.5 games ahead of us in the SEC. I'd be shocked if Vandy wasn't the 1 seed regardless of the outcome tomorrow.

If we win tomorrow and UNC loses tonight we might could land the #2 seed. Otherwise I'd expect to be #3.

At this point it's really like splitting hairs between the three teams, though.

So you want them to brig back Nola or Eades? The starters are starting because it is each teams fifth game and its all that's available but good try moron.

Nobody is throwing a frontline starter so the lineups will look like a midweek game.

Duh. Doesn't change the fact that the lineups are midweek lineups. This game is not best on best which I think is the point he was trying to make.

Platoon pitching with some usual starters sitting out of the lineup. Of course, both teams are trying to win. But with so little to gain for either team, they're setting themselves up for the next weekend.

This. Win or lose, Vandy is almost certainly #1 and we're either #2 or #3. In the grand scheme of things that won't matter all that much, so there's no reason to bring back any of our usual starters on short rest.

Nola threw 108 pitches on Thursday. Tomorrow is sundry. If this were the national championship game he could throw an inning or mAYBE two if they were low pitch/stress innings.

How are the lineups going to be a midweek lineup. Do you think Alex Edward will play? Or Casey Yocum? Pitchers will be depleted but the starting lineups won't be any different tomorrow.
