LSU - Sr. LHP Brent Bonvillain (2-0, 2.97 ERA, 36.1, 22 H, 13 R, 12 ER, 21 BB, 30 K)
Vanderbilt - So. LHP Philip Pfeifer (3-0, 3.76 ERA, 55.0 IP, 49 H, 28 R, 23 ER, 27 BB, 42 K)

Just a question. ..has Sewald pitched this season? And if so, is this intentional so CPM can give him a redshirt? Not saying I want him to play....just curious.

Yes he has. Anyone who can pitch has pitched. Red shirts aren't given to anyone unless they bring nothing as a freshman or are injured.

I doubt Sewald is even on the roster this week since Newman wasn't even added until Jones was ruled out.

Thanks. And pardon my ignorance about redshirts. I follow LSU baseball but don't pound the box scores looking for who pitched and whatnot. I read an article about him and his speeches after or before games and wondered if he was hurt or something before the season. Read his bio.....should be a solid guy
