Meaningless Tournament

Why the eff did we show up then? Why didn't we just forfeit all the games? The players don't seem to think its pointless. We're just being straight up outplayed in all aspects. And (if we lose), how the eff does a team that just got done playing a "meaningless" tournament get up to play a regional?

their not a good hitting team, but at least they will go into regionals resting their pitchers.
when you look at previous national champions, they had very good hitters to go with good pitching. This team is a very weak hitting team.

That's simply what LSU fans say when they are getting beat. If they win the tournament, that means they are peaking at the right time. If they lose, fans say LSU is simply getting ready for the "real" tournament. I would much rather go into the "real" tourney coming off a sec tourn. Championship than going 1-2 in the sec tourney.
