Hopefully this is the right move. Avs need to get back in the picture desperately. Lost our playoff streak and home sellout records. Need to relive the glory days of mid 90s to early 00s.

Just hope this isn't Gretzky part two.

but seriously, here's to hoping he can make them relevant again. Not much can top the Red Wings - Avalanche rivalry of back in the day

The Avalanche decided to try yet another reset, turning last week to Hall of Famer Joe Sakic to make the most important calls in hockey ops as the club’s executive vice president.

That was my initial reaction. He was a hell of a goalie, but is he a NHL coach.

I just read an article in the Denver Post which I'll link. He spent the past 8 seasons as the coach and GM of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and had a 348-196-0 record.

I still remember when he got his arse kicked at center ice by Chris Osgood. Good times.

I wonder if his command of the English language has gotten any better?

I suspect not.

Now just get Peter Forsberg somewhere in the front office and I guess I'll go buy an Avalanche jersey

lol

Avalanche history= Lindros trade If that trade was never made, while the nordiques, there wouldn't be much history at all, of lanche hockey.

quebec fans got stuck up the arse, by product on ice, and ownership, Lanche fans lucked into gold mine.

those days are over.
