I have never been able to attend this because I'm usually out of town this weekend, but I have tickets for Friday nights grand tasting.

Been a while since I've attended, but I think the general thought process is that the wines are very much average. Get there as early as possible and hit up all of the food stations. Get the wine later.

I went about five or six years ago, greatly anticipating the event because I consider myself a foodie and love to eat in restaurants of all types and price ranges.

That said, I left the event very disappointed in both what was available to sample and the way the entire event was set up.

Not meaning to kill your anticipation, but I was not impressed for what I paid. That said, here's hoping it's much better now and you have an enjoyable time!
