Of course they couldn't, LSU vs Bama is what the NATION still wants to see at night.......

We are proven NFL player factories........with a rich history of brutal physical games as of late that have scored MAJOR ratings.

I thought the deal to get LSU-Alabama in prime time last season involved ABC/ESPN getting access to game in a future season.

Fool, do you not get how hard it is to beat another really good team twice in one year. So, LSU wins the one that"counts". Then the powers that be come back and says, it didn't REALLY count. We're gonna do it again. Had Bama won that first game, do you really think it would have been Bama vs. LSU for the MNC?

It has nothing to do with us being a national power or what the people want to see...

CBS simply cannot move up the primetime game. The doubleheader is always late in the season because of contract agreements.

I feel like we have this conversation on the rant every single offseason and LSU fans want to act like little sisters of the poor...

No, the deal was it gave ESPN first pick on a different weekend last year where they normally wouldn't have had first pick.

Also espn/and never had any agreements made to show the lsu/ua game in the future. So that's a blatant lie.

Wanna bet that CBS could have chosen ANY week they wanted to be primetime?

quote:

CBS has the rights to 12-15 regular season games and the conference championship. Up to two of those games can be non-conference games. CBS will always have the top choice of SEC games on a weekly basis. When CBS does a doubleheader that includes a primetime game, CBS can choose the top two games on a given weekend. When they do a doubleheader that includes a 12pm game, it must allow ESPN to reserve two games before selecting their next game.

Where are you getting this? For years, the prime time game was UF-Tenn, then it was LSU-UF in 2008 and 2009. It was Bama-UF in 2010. All of those games were in early October or late September.

Yeah ill take that bet...

This has been explained time and time again on here. CBS simply can't move up which week is the doubleheader simply because they want to. It has to be over special circumstances.

I thought your original argument was that CBS would immediately jump at the opportunity to make the TAMU/UA game a night game over LSU/UA.

No? I didn't even respond to this thread because I knew last year that Bama/LSU would be the game again this year after it scored a 10.42 millions viewers in prime time and an 11 share.

Colin Cowherd and Van Pelt pretty much said book it that Monday when these #'s came out because it dominated the slot SO Bad. In comparison Oregon vs USC scored only like 3 million and even lost the west coast market share.

This mean the Florida game will most likely be a day game unless USCe and Arky are undefeated and even still... damn you CBS

What are you talking about they can't move it up? They can pick it to be whatever week they want it to be. Like the previous poster said, it used to be the UT-UF game.
