I see nothing wrong with this.

Blame Hard Knocks. Watching Vontae Davis find out he was getting traded was pretty brutal.

Seems kind of dumb, but this affects me in no way whatsoever so they can have at it.

They need to teach these guys how to manage their money more than any of the other things the league is trying to do.

Better word is unnecessary. I would hope these guys can manage being cut from their team. No different than people getting laid off.....

Well considering a lot of these players are probably kids fresh out of college, they might not be as adept as you would think. A good portion of them only went to school to play ball so they could get to the NFL, so having that taken away could be devastating, and they won't be prepared to handle life without football.

Maybe they should play one of those poignant elimination songs they play on American Idol when a contestant gets kicked off, while they show a montage of that guy's brief reel of camp highlights.

Guess that's true. Easy to forget that most of these guys cut are rookies who never make the roster. My opinion on the matter has changed..... said nobody on the OT ever. AMIRITE??

But seriously I can see it being a good idea to have someone offer advice on life outside of football.

Nothing was lower than the way Mike Tannenbaum handled cuts. With they had video footage of Woody Johnson canning that prick.

I think this comes back to lawsuits again. Employees who leave on good terms don't sue their employers. Employees who hold a grudge fight back with lawsuits.
