Alex Len has as much boom/bust potential as anyone in this draft. If that kid reaches his potential he and David could be the next closest thing to Robinson/Duncan.

Yeah, I didn't read the BSS article before I posted, so feel like a copy cat. But it makes sense. If they are going to keep Gordon (or no one offers anything decent for him) and the draft goes somewhat as projected (2 best Centers gone and best SF off the board). Then they will either reach or trade the pick away. I'm not a big fan of Saric, but I would understand the pick..

I like Alex Len for the reason that I love a guy that can be physical inside the paint, something that we lack with Lopez and something that Davis isn't great at. I still think we have bigger holes to fill though

I think Davis can grown into that though. I also don't think it's as important as it used to be. No one would ever call Duncan overly physical, but he's obviously had a phenomenal career as a 4/5.
Not only is Len physical down low, his ability to pass out of the post is extremely advanced for a big-man. If we get one of Len, Burke or Oladipo it will be a fantastic day for this franchise.

Also this on OKC
Dont think that type of move fits the compete for the playoffs talk, but perhaps a potential landing spot for Gordon.
Say they come out of the draft w/ Burke, Saric, Lamb, Jones, and whatever the savings are from EG's contract to use in FA. That sets the clock back too far, right?

There is increasing chatter among NBA executives that the Thunder — with two first-round picks and young talent in Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones on the roster — will look to make a major move on draft night

It's not a reach if you make the right pick. It will certainly seem like it at the time to everyone but Demps, but reaching is a judgement best made in hindsight. I bet many teams wished they had reached for Rondo instead of letting him fall to 21.

That would be amazing.. no way OKC bites on taking Gordon though. They got rid of Harden (same money as Gordon) just to stay out of salary cap trouble..

They'd have to clear out a lot of salary in order to take on Gordon. Lamb, Jones, and Sefolosha for Gordon could work if they amnestied Perkins.

Skeptical they do that as well for the same reasons, but who knows how they feel after losing in the semis. Ownership might say damnit all and demand a 3rd "star" to help score. If all they are offering are basically 4 rookie contracts, I dont know what type of big move is out there.

You're right. The salaries would not work w/o amnesty or a 3rd team

then why not trade back and get a second rounder in exchange?

I want Oladipo, i love watching that dude play.

Alex Len = Robin Lopez w/ no experience
I dont want Saric.
Personally, I would take CJ McCollum over Burke, but wouldnt be upset if we took the latter.
MCW is a very interesting prospect this year.
