Did you see it next to the controller? It doesn't look anywhere remotely close to what you just said

I've lived in New Iberia, nobody wants to spy on the residents of that city.

I am not typically too paranoid but is anyone concerned about an internet connected camera and mic that is always watching and listening?

Keep your pants on while you're playing COD. I don't care if Bill Gates listens to me yell obscenities at my game.

I doubt the government cares what you do in your own home, what makes you think Microsoft does?

it looks like a computer tower on its side

and yeah, "all in one" but still requiring the normal connections and a cable box

So a negative for you was that the system has to be plugged in and connected to your TV. Fair enough. Seems like a legitimate gripe.

cable box

Is this official? Even if it requires it Day 1, I'll bet during this consoles life cycle MS will get to its "all in one" vision.

I think so.

A release sent to VG247 this evening confirms that Live TV with Kinect navigation, Live TV with One Guide, Trending, and NFL on Xbox will only be available in North America at launch. The release added that Microsoft anticipates a global roll-out over time.

As shown in the Microsoft reveal stream, and confirmed in the release, “Live TV will require a supported receiver device with HDMI output,” which is sold separately.

The paragraph is littered with footnotes that confirm the US-only launch for the features, and reiterates the need for a second device.

Thanks. Not an issue for me since I already have the cable box sitting next to my xbox but I would like to see MS try to get away from having to use a cable box if the system can support it.

So does the HDMI go from the DVR to the Xbox instead of to the TV?

i'm a xbox honk, but if i have to pay, to play used games, i will not buy an xbox one(worst fricking name ever).

frick them, the companies and screwing the consumers, by taking more and more out of games, to sell later as DLC.

they want to make $$$ off of used game, they will off of dlc;s
