I'm pumped. I felt that they were unfairly bashed for how the first season ended, and that most folks couldn't get beyond that to enjoy the second. With that said, the show runners should have resolved everything the first season, and started a new case for the second. I'm exited for a fresh start for the show and really hope they learned from their mistakes. Start a case and finish it by the finale.

I'm looking forward to Peter Sarsgaard joining the cast.

I loved both seasons. But I watched season 1 in a cram session before 2 started....so I didn't have to wait.

It all just seemed like a big season to me.

I had completely forgotten about him joining the cast. And no more Mitch Larsen. I've hated michelle Forbes ever since true blood.

I'm pretty excited

especially now with this huge void around this time of the year with good TV shows to watch

Walking Dead - done
The Americans - done
GoT- nearly done
Orphan Black - nearly done
The Following (so bad, you have to watch) - done
Strike Back - hurry the frick up
Continuum - not quite at the halfway mark
The Newsroom - ??? sometime this year I assume

there's no new Pilkington slated for this year, it's getting slim pickings out there

I'm excited. They had lost me at the end of Season 1 but I followed through on Season 2 and enjoyed it. And the storyline for this season looks really good.

One of the interviews with Veena Sud on the AMC website had her specifically saying that they will wrap up this case in this season and that they learned their lesson.

Cool I thought it wasn't coming back. One case over two seasons didn't bother me, I don't have a short attention span.

It had nothing to do with attention span. It did have to do with them having too much going on at one time and then running into an issue with tying it up. They had reached a point where they were adding twists just to add twists.

It improved significantly in Season 2 though.

yep, it got to be pitiful. and you know how many episodes were left,so there was no way that this "new" suspect they were hot and heavy on was the true culprit.
then it ends with a simple plot.

i'll give it one more shot just b/c nothing else is on tv.

Belle,
Do you have a link for this? I'm glad to hear they've learned their lesson. If they had just followed the model of the original Danish version they would have been fine

And the new case for this third season looks even better than the Rosie Larsen one. Darker. I like.

She didn't specifically say they learned their lesson but it seemed pretty obvious that they did. She DOES specifically say they'll wrap up the case by the season's end.
