Thoughts?

Been open about 2 weeks, but I truly just have not gotten a chance to go.

The menu looks fantastic, especially with an entire page dedicated to building your own Bloody Mary.

Never heard of it. And by the look of non-responses, no one else has either.

Brick and Spoon? What a terrible name for a restaurant. What kind of cuisine is it?

The bloody Mary page made me tingle in all the right places. Maybe I'll make a trip there later this summer.

I thought the name was kind of cool, personally. It's different. It's a breakfast and brunch place.

I've been a huge supporter of the rusted rooster ever since they opened. I hope this place can compete because its much closer to my home.

Worst hamburger I have had since being back in Lafayette. Picked it up to go and when I got to the office it was bread, meat and cheese. No lettuce, tomato, mayo or anything. The meat was about an inch and half smaller than the bun, the meat was overcooked and all spiced up. The bun was like a soft pretzel in texture, kinda chewy. The fries had more salt than the dead sea. Co-worker had a panini and was not impressed either.

I went to the Rusted Rooster last month. Good stuff but unfortunately not open on the weekends so I'll rarely be able to go.

They are already opening another Brick and Spoon in Houston. A friend from Houston texted me a couple months ago about if I knew anything about Brick and Spoon. Apparently, they were already in the works to open a Houston spot before the Lafayette one even opened.

My friend went to brick and spoon over the weekend. She said drinks and food were great. She had the grown up grilled cheese. "Amazing" was her description of it. However, she said the place is way too small. 30 minute wait for table then hour wait for food. But she said the good drinks helped the time pass.

If you're at the rusted rooster for breakfast, you must get the hangover.

Biscuits, 2 fried eggs, fried chicken breast, all on top of eachother covered with homemade hash browns and white gravy.

Unbelievable.

Eta: just left the ford dealership. Bastards tried to lowball me on my trade in. Pissed. Now I gotta go eat somewhere good.
