Can Gausman still go one game or is he ineligible?

Don't understand this "who cares" attitude about the SEC Tournament championship. Vandy wine the regular season championship. I for one would love nothing more that see an LSU-Vandy showdown in the championship game with Nola on the mound as his second game in the tourney. Could be a primer for the CWS later. And winning the SEC tourney gives us bragging rights over Vandy.

Yeah let's throw a pitcher on short rest (one that is nearing 100 innings btw) just so we can get that SEC Tournament Championship trophy.

And Mainieri takes the SEC Tourny more seriously than Skip ever did.

Of the 6th National Championships we own, LSU has only won the SEC tournament in 3 of those seasons and one of those years, 1993, was when they split championships between divisions.

Pitch nola wednesday
i don't understand this. if i'm trying to win the tournament, which i am, i throw glenn first. he threw 7 innings on thurs and will have 6+ days of rest.

nola next which will give he and glenn a week to rest for the regional.

eades next.

unless there is a game where the bats go cold or there are a bunch of errors, that strategy would get you to a sun matchup with vandy

We know Nola will start Wed--- I agree resting Eades--we will need him well rested for the regional--- getting to the Super
Is the goal for the Short run. To get to Omaha ---Eades is still the key. Nola & Glenn will do fine. Our down fall in the last game against Ole Miss --- was obviously that our Bull pen failed the 15 hit effort -- put forth by the "B" team. No more
Experimenting with the Pen from here on out. Only use Bonvillian,
Rumbelow, & Cotton. Staying in the winners bracket in
CWS is an absolute must ---to bring home the prize.
National Champions.

What's to understand. Glenn still gets over a week of rest if he pitches Thursday.

For perspective purposes...

1991 - We went 3-2 in the SEC tourney losing to Florida in the title game. We then went on to win the next 8 games and our first ever CWS Title.

1996 - LSU won game one then lost the next two games but then went on to win 8 consecutive games including the CWS title.

1997 - LSU made it to title game but lost to Alabama 12-2. We then went on to 9-1 en route to the CWS title where we beat Alabama.

Eades needs rest. That seems to be his issue, stamina.

Why else would he have such a big fall at the end of the year, two years in a row?

I didn't think he pitched too bad the last few starts before yesterday. He's never going to be a pitcher that gives a bunch of clean 1-2-3 innings like Nola.

Glenn still gets over a week of rest if he pitches Thursday
why pitch him on thurs when you can pitch him on wed with plenty of rest and get nola for the thurs winner's bracket game? glenn vs stanek? arky has the upper hand. nola vs stanek? I like our chances.

How do you even know you will be playing Arkansas on Thursday? We are not setting up our pitching to win next week.

LSU has never win the CWS without winning either the SEC title or the SEC tourney.

The only shot we have is winning this tournament.

Because, while we may win the SEC tourney, we aren't really trying to
