Rivals has an article about LSU trying to lure him. Anyone who is subscribed want to share. LINK

Plus, I remember reading another thread earlier in the year about his expressing of some interest in LSU.

Anyone think we have a shot? It seems like he's either Bama bound or Georgia bound. But hey, Wiggins just unexpectedly committed to Kansas. I think anything is possible.

For sure. I think Brick Haley has kept in contact and we definitely have a chance. Players like him are better suited playing DE in a 4-3. Just more natural for him even though he can play other positions.

If we can get a visit LSU can get anybody, its just a question of getting in his Top-5 and making it seem like to him he is #1

He is an absolute stud but I think we have too much ground to make up on UGA and Bama.

I agree completely with whodidthat. #1 thing is getting him to our campus. If so, Haley could then easily demonstrate the huge difference in how LSU uses its D-Ends in our scheme compared to a D-End's role in Bama's scheme (and Georgia's scheme, for that matter).

If that happens, I think our chances will be as good as anyone's.

Precisely. It all boils down to which type of defensive system he wants to play in.

I agree. FTR, I believe he's a LB in their systems and not a de.

Yeah he's definitely not in the mold of a 3-4 DE. Such a position more resembles a tackle's physique. At 6'5 225, Carter is better suited for the outside.

FWIW... LC's two leaders at this point are Ala. and Georgia (via Rivals interview) so those schools must have sold him on the idea of playing OLB in the 3-4. There's no doubt LC definitely looks like he has the body type to play either DE (4-3) or OLB (3-4).

I guess he has no problem playing OLB because there is no way he plays DE at Bama or UGA being that small. Thing is we like our Defensive players lighter and faster.

At least he's not like that highly ranked 6'7 DE though. That guy has to stack on some major lbs.

It basically says that LSU has built a relationship with LC since about a month and a half ago. They triedto get him to come to the bayou picnic but he said he wouldnt be able to make it. He did say that he wanted to eventually visit LSU and that they are good at putting his position in the NFL. LSU offered his teammate, Myles Autry WR, as well. LC said if him and MA like the same school then they would like to go to the same school.

Who is that?

ETA: Are you referring to Justin Thornton? If so, he's only 5 lbs lighter and 1 inch taller than Carter, according to his profile.

LC is a beast of an athlete. Got to think being a 4-3 DE would be better for him, but kid would be good as a 3-4 LB with his athleticism. Draft wise, I think he would be higher at DE IMO, but its just semantics with his ability..

He is a DE IMO. Look at his junior stats, 150 tackles, 30+ TFL... Beastly

LSU is coming up fast to Georgia and Alabama. Give Brick some time, get him on campus and then anything can happen. I like our chances. If he comes on a visit.

Nope I'm talking Lorenzo Featherston (sp?). He's a 6'7 215lb 4 star

I have concern about the pull from his former teammate, Alvin Kamara. Idk how close the 2 are, but The Hobbit has a strong hold on Norcross players. He sent Kamara 120 letters in one week. Carter is open, however, and we do have a shot.
