Got a hold of a old style wooden Ice Cream Maker. I plan on making Ice Cream tomorrow.

Any tips or recipes that I should consider? I haven't gone shopping for ingredients yet.

1 cup of icecream salt for every 4 cups of ice. let it rest in the salty water for 30 minutes after it finishes and you pull the dashers to get more firm.

Continue adding ice as you turn the freezer. Never add ice without adding salt. make sure drain hole (just below top of bucket) is open so that the water can drain out as you add more ice

Wife is still asleep, and she does the good ice cream recipes. Only one I can remember was our kids favorite way back when.

1 gallon of the best Borden's Dutch chocolate milk they have (real chocolate milk and not the low fat fake stuff) a can of sweetened condensed milk and a container of thawed cool whip. mix in bowl and add to freezer.

We have a machine that runs off the Mixer and I'll ask her for a recipe when she wakes up. It will be rich and good.

My son's recipe

3 cans of sweetened condensed milk, a half gallon of half and half and two teaspoons of vanilla.

Nothing fake about cool whip. It is 100% real petroleum by products and wonderful things brought to you by hard working manufacturing chemists. And I get $0.0002 every time you buy a container of that wonderful product. IMO, the world needs more cool whip like products.

Amazing Answer.
If you are going to make "Ice Cream", use "Real Cream".
