I thought he did a very good job at 1st tonight defensively. 
He will fill in just fine while Jacoby is out. I think we need to find a way to keep him on the field or in the lineup

We need a way to put him in the lineup with Jacoby also in the lineup. Laird is more than good enough in center but Mainieri must play Stevenson.

It won't happen with the premium Mainieri has put on outfield defense and speed, but Katz has played plenty in right field. I wouldn't mind seeing him there with just one of Laird/Stevenson in CF to get Moore into the lineup at first. Too late in the season to try such things.

With Laird in center we'll be fine. Katz played some pretty solid outfield when he was forced to fill in there as a freshman or sophomore.

Yep, know tyler needs to get hits to help his case for playing time. Caught a bad break in his 1st at bat. I dont think we have hit a ball harder than that all year

If Stevenson wasn't in the lineup the obvious way to keep Moore when jacoby gets back is

.273 avg, .319 OB, 66 ABs and only 2 strikeouts.
Stevenson
.190 avg, .289 OB, 79 ABs, 16 strikeouts.
Moore is no Mason Katz, put he has consistently produced solid ABs when called upon. Not sure where you get this, he can't hit stuff.
