Chase freedom is solid. 5% back on certain categories like gas, restaurants, groceries, movies, etc every quarter. 1% back on every purchase. They don't give you a big credit line though.

That's a shite arse card.

Almost every rewards card will give you 1% back as a baseline.

I think the best set up is pen fed for gas 5% cash back.

Then a rotating one for 5%.

Also, churn that shite for bonuses if you don't get a loan. ex, already have a house etc.

If I were just starting out and not loyal to one airline and traveling as much as I do... It would be chase sapphire with the chase freedom to supplement it

I'm not a big traveler.

I use AMEX Blue Cash preferred. It's pretty good with the 6% cash back on groceries. I will pay for the $75 annual fee easily.

Why not add pen fed gas card? 5% on gas YEAR round.

It's a $20 1 time fee that donates to a charity. Then $5 to a checking account type thing.

The 5% is put into your account automatically each month.

No annual fee.

Seems the ultimate set up.

That amex that givs 6% cash back on groceries, 5% pen fed for gas, citi forward for restaurants (5 point per $ spent, but the redeem rates turn that 5 points into a hair over 3% on restaurants), and a almost any travel card that gives 2% on travel.

You can't unless your card has been open for more than 13 months (due to Dodd Frrank)

If you are flying Delta only... I'd stick with it or open up a New acct and close this one. However, You won't get the sign-up bonus (unless you open a business version of the platinum or reserve delta card).

No... You cannot make any changes (except canceling) in the 1st 13 months of opening an account. Even if it is by the user's request
