Looking to see if anyone has a small solar charger for a cell phone or other small devices and there thoughts on them. Mostly interested in a cell phone charger for now for the times im away from a plug.

Do you need one charge or a weeks worth? They make some extension batteries that you can hook to the phone to charge it a couple of times...

I have solar powered security lights around my house. They work pretty good. Not as bright as a flood light, but enough to see.

Knew someone that had one that did not work for him but been awhile. I was thinking of times I'm away from a plug and thought about a solar charger.

I bought one of these for a camping trip I took during spring break. It takes about a full day worth of sunlight to fully charge the battery pack inside. You can charge a dead iphone/ipod twice or so from the power stored inside the panel. Comes with 10 different plugs, also you can charge it via usb(it will charge faster).

My personal suggestion is as follows

12v deep cycle marine battery
Inverter
Standard charger
Solar trickle charger for the battery if you think you'll be away for a long time.

Been thinking about that but was looking for small and portable first. Something I can carry with me on motorcycle or if in woods somewhere

I did solar powered motion activated flood lights. Real pleased with their output!
