have a free weekend stay there and we are heading down this weekend. never fished out of there before so i was hoping some of you would be so kind to give me some help on places to go. not sure if we should head south to the beaches or head up towards leeville to some of the spots we know there. TIA!!

Really depends on what you are after. Beaches are hot right now though for the schoolers

I'd hit the beach or barges early, then if they aren't biting or the wind picks up move north.
