Rangers fans, aren't you glad we aren't putting up with this non-sense anymore?

I doubt one fan regrets not re-signing him

Well I tell you this I never used drugs in my life and I suffer with sever sinus infections and I can relate to him. It makes you dizzy off balance. Man I feel sorry for him.

you feel sorry for an addict? a pompous doucher who happens to be an addict as well. I don't feel sorry for him. I just don't care anymore. I hope he's happy with the extra 2 million dollars on his contract. the angels are terrible

You would NOT say this if he were still a Ranger.......

The sinus infection excuse is probably one of his better ones.

My favorite was Jesus is mad at me for chewing tobacco. In a close second, is having blue eyes makes it hard to hit in day games.

he also wouldn't have ran his mouth like a cry baby if he was. and I was one of the only ones openly against even offering him a contract

eta:the second time of course

I am very happy he is gone. He always seems to have an excuse for his sorry play. Glad he has joined the other d-bag (CJ Wilson) in LAA

It was a good move to let him go. There was a lot of controversy in letting him go.

However, the fact that he quit on the team in the second half and couldn't make adjustments at the plate after May told me it was the right decision.

I wish I could pull up the thread of him signing with the Angels. I said that much.

He's just a headcase who has a lot of nice tools, but no plate discipline.

How is this guy not given the treatment Tebow is? Tebow doesn't make stupid excuses (at least none I can think of) and he's not an addict

Well, I can relate to this. I have blue eyes and it is hard as shite for me to handle the sun sometimes. I have 20/10 vision and I look like someone just opened the gates of heaven in my face when the suns out.

He's more fragile than the SEC's collection of crystal footballs.

When your replacement (who is well past his prime) is STILL an improvement over you, that's not saying much.

It says even less when your former babysitter is having a vast improvement in his performance, now that he can concentrate on baseball and not keeping you out of harm's way.

I don't know. I've had sinus infections that made me feel like I had a Hummer sitting on my face.

It's always something with this guy.

But I do feel bad for him. He's a former addict who just untethered himself from his entire support structure. There's just no way the Angels are going to bend over backwards for this guy like the Rangers did, and I think he needs that to be a productive member of society, much less a good baseball player. And I think the extremely virulent reactions he is encountering at pretty much every AL West stadium can't be helping the guy. I'm talking on a personal, stay off drugs kind of level. Some guys can shrug off the fans as part of the job... I don't think he can. I think he needs the adulation of others.

Not to mention I'm sure years of cocaine abuse did a serious number on his sinus cavity.
